RENAME GAME ANY COMMENTS GET A BETTER (EXPLORER) VIEW FASTER NAVIGATING SHORTCUTS CHANGE YOUR VIEWS
RENAME GAMEHere's how to use the right-mouse button to change the name of a file: 1. Change to Folders view (in FrontPage Explorer, click the Folders
icon in the Views bar).
ANY COMMENTS?You can quickly add a comment to a file by using the right-mouse button, which is especially helpful when working with a group on a web: 1. Change to Folders view (in FrontPage Explorer, click the Folders
icon in the Views bar).
GET A BETTER (EXPLORER) VIEWOften when viewing files in FrontPage Explorer, you won't be able to see the full descriptions of files, because your columns aren't wide enough. Here's a shortcut to fix the problem without resizing each column. From the Folders view, hold the Ctrl key while pressing the plus key (+) on the numeric keypad. The columns automatically adjust to show you the full description of a file, such as its name, title, and size.
FASTER NAVIGATING SHORTCUTSAs you create pages, you may often jump between Normal and Preview mode. You can make the switch without picking up the mouse. To quickly preview your page, press Ctrl + Page Up. To jump back to editing mode, press Ctrl + Page Down. Press either combination more than once, and you toggle through the next mode, from Normal to HTML, for example.
CHANGE YOUR VIEWSThis week we salute the right-mouse button, which can be an amazing help when building pages. In the next few days, we reveal some of our favorite right-click tricks. Do you sometimes have trouble seeing all the icons in the Views bar (the pane running down the left-hand side of the window) in FrontPage Explorer? If so, right-click anywhere in the Views bar and choose Small Icons from the menu that appears. Ta-da! You can see all the icons now.
